XAITEC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the LinguaKey custom keyboard application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Keystrokes and Typing Data (No Keylogging) As a custom keyboard, LinguaKey requires permission to process your keystrokes to function. We do not log, harvest, or transmit your general typing data to our servers. All standard typing input is processed strictly locally on your device in real-time.

2. Local Data Storage To provide features like Autocorrect, Word Prediction, and the Clipboard Manager, LinguaKey saves certain data locally on your device. This includes:

• Word Frequencies: A local dictionary of your most-used words to improve typing predictions.
• Clipboard History: Text you have recently copied, allowing you to access it via the App's clipboard manager.
• Settings: Your active languages and API keys. This data is stored securely within the App's isolated local storage (SharedPreferences) and never leaves your device unless explicitly initiated by you.

3. Translation Feature and Third-Party APIs LinguaKey includes a built-in translation feature. When you explicitly tap the "Translate" button, the specific text you have typed in the active input field is securely transmitted directly to the DeepL API for translation. XAITEC does not intercept, log, or store the text you translate. By using this feature, you acknowledge that the specific text sent for translation is subject to DeepL's own Privacy Policy.

4. Data Selling and Analytics We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. LinguaKey does not include any third-party tracking, advertising, or analytics SDKs that harvest user data.

5. Sensitive Fields LinguaKey is designed to respect Android's InputType flags. When you type in a field marked as sensitive by the operating system (such as password fields or credit card forms), LinguaKey automatically disables custom text tracking, word frequency logging, and autocorrect functionality to protect your security.

6. Data Retention and Deletion Because we do not transmit or store your personal data on our servers, we do not require a cloud-based account deletion process. You can permanently delete all locally stored data (including clipboard history, custom dictionary, and settings) at any time by clearing the App's data in your Android Settings or by uninstalling LinguaKey.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
